– Live in the northeast region ( includes the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia)
– Be part of (or able to form) a group of 3 to 5 students

Highlight: Have you ever seen people playing the stock market and been wanting to try it out, but find yourself not knowing where to start? Well, this high school investment competition from Ithaca College lets you try out the stock market with the chance to win thousands of dollars! You might be wondering how you can participate in this investment competition? Don’t worry because the process is pretty simple! It begins by getting a few friends onboard, but let’s be honest if you are interested in this, then chances are some of your friends might be, too! There is the slight challenge around a teacher having to register you, but don’t be shy — let your teacher know about the competition and your interest! Here’s what happens: your team of friends ranging from 9th to 12th grade in the Northeastern USA America work together to create a portfolio of their returns over either the past week, month, or entire investment competition duration of four months. This investment competition simulates real life trading to the best of their ability by using real time bid/ask prices, giving each team $1,000,000 virtual USD to invest with, and creating over 50 global exchanges to make it accessible to everyone. The prizes for this investment competition are $3000 for the first place winners, $2000 for the second place winners, and $1000 for the third place winners. All the reward money is divided equally between the team and the high school they attend. As an additional bonus, any seniors participating in this investment competition receive a fee waiver if they decide to apply to Ithaca college.
