You can even contribute to cracking more urgent challenges within this open research platform, including fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. Programs like the OpenCovid19 Initiative that was recently created in this open research platform focus on a community-based approach to develop open-source and low-cost detection, prevention, and treatment tools to fight the current pandemic.
